Dom pri železnici

I had an opportunity to design a book cover for Maya Haršániova, a Slovak book author of noir fantasy novels.

Name of the book is Dom pri železnici / House by the Railroad.

In 1998, a young woman, Emma, discovers terrifying truths about her family and the house she lives in. Unexplained disappearances, unsolved mysteries, murder. She meets a mysterious stranger. At first, she is completely enchanted by him, but nothing is as it seems at first glance. Emma gradually discovers that it is impossible to run away from the past. Everything that happens around her is somehow connected to the house. She cannot get rid of the feeling that it is the source of all evil.

Twenty-four years later, Gabriela moves from Bratislava to the house, which has since become a legend, with her father and sick mother.
